When it comes to moving home, your furniture and belongings will be handled with the utmost care by trained moving professionals.
Your moving team will arrive on the scheduled date and begin to protect your items with the necessary moving blankets and packing materials. Once satisfied, your items will be loaded and secured in the moving truck ready for transport.
Tip: Remember to clearly label any boxes and items with the room you’d like them to be placed in your new home. This will save a lot of time when it comes to unpacking.
Once your furniture and belongings have arrived at the new property, they’ll be carefully unloaded from the moving truck and placed into each room by your removalist team.
Packing and unpacking services are also available to save time on both sides of the move.
Your removalists will handle all of the physical work, including the lifting and loading of large items. With skilled removalists on your side, your belongings are managed with care. Our professionals are trained to stack your boxes and furnishings strategically, preserving the integrity and safety of your items and their packaging.
To best look after your belongings, and help the removalist team, it’s important not to overpack your boxes. Aim for each box to weigh no more than 20kg to avoid any damage from overly heavy boxes pressing down on others. If you have weighty items needing boxing, just mark those boxes as HEAVY. The moving team will strategically use these as the foundational layer in the moving truck to shield your fragile items above. Additionally, ensure that boxes containing breakable items like plates and glasses are clearly marked with FRAGILE on both the sides and top.
Packing and unpacking services are also available to save time on both sides of the move.
No matter the specifics of your move, our teams of removalists are fully equipped and skilled to transport your items securely. We handle everything from lifting large, heavy, or awkwardly-shaped furniture, to navigating narrow hallways and multiple flights of stairs.
Your removalists team will prioritise the protection of your home during the move. Taking special precautions to safeguard your carpets, wooden floors, bannisters, and doors before we start moving your furniture.
When booking removalists, it’s best to book as early as possible. However with many moving parts in the buying and exchange process, this isn’t always possible.
With Upmove you can specify the exact moving date you need, and available removalists will quote on your move, saving you time and effort ringing around multiple companies.
Our moving specialists are available 7 days a week; they are happy to help in the evenings and weekends to work around your schedule and ensure you have a great moving experience.

We understand that every move is different, and that you may require additional or tailored services beyond the basic loading, transport, and unloading.
At Upmove, you can specify any specific requirements you have to ensure your needs are met, giving you peace of mind throughout the move. Common services include:
Packing and unpacking: Have your items carefully wrapped and protected for the move; they will also be placed in the correct location in your new home. This service is particularly useful for kitchen items.
Furniture disassembly and assembly: This service is for furniture that cannot be moved as a whole piece due to its size or shape, or if it is vulnerable to damage during transit.
Higher level or balcony hoist: Larger items, particularly bulky furniture, may need to be hoisted up the building due to small entrance ways, lift sizes, or narrow staircases.
Vehicle transport: When relocating interstate, or when multiple vehicles need moving, consider using specialist car transport or motorcycle transport services.
Your removalists teams can provide a complete service tailored to your needs, covering everything from packing and loading to unpacking at your destination. You can confidently move to your new home knowing that our experts have handled every detail.
Beyond the heavy lifting, moving professionals can manage intricate tasks such as disconnecting appliances, securing electrical wiring, and preparing musical instruments for transport. After unpacking, they will also help reinstall appliances in your new home to ensure a seamless transition.
Our professional removalists can assist with a local move of one or a few furniture items through to a long-distance interstate relocation. No items are too big or too small; your belongings will be transported with the correct equipment and the utmost care.
