Finding the real diamonds in the rough can be quite the challenge.

In this article, we’ve done the hard work for you.

Read on to discover our favourite thrifty hot spots in Adelaide - hand-picked so you can skip the knick-knacks and novelty items and head straight to where the real vintage treasures can be found.

Top second-hand furniture stores

While op-shopping and market scouring can be a fun experience, furniture can be a bit hit and miss.

On the other hand, boutique second-hand furniture stores hand-pick their items and check on their condition before bringing them in store. This gives you an added sense of quality assurance.

The salespeople also usually have a good knowledge of the history and design of all the pieces available - so you can ask questions before you commit to buying.

If this approach feels a little more up your street, add these pre-loved furniture stores in Adelaide to your visit list.

Parker’s Secondhand Goods Warehouse

From sofas to washing machines and everything in between, Parker’s Secondhand Goods Warehouse is a treasure trove for thrifty shoppers.

Cam was great to deal with, some issues occurred in the travel (none of cams fault) and he kept us up to date and gave us peace of mind. Would 100% recommend and use Cam next time we need to move a vehicle.

I must admit that overall experience was great. Logan was a great helper. Communication was easy and quick. Only thing that I didn’t like was an extra charge. When I initiate the request on upmove, i chose the vehicle as “I don’t know” in a field - “Is vehicle drivable?”. Then IAT tried to tow my car from the pick up address and got unsuccessful because they expected a car to be drivable. But I mentioned the vehicle is not drivable. Then I was told that there will be extra 90$ for non-drivable vehicle. I paid and they resolved the issue quickly. Again thanks for the fast service. This is just a heads up for those who are towing a car that is non-drivable. Make sure to tell them again about car condition if you dont want to pay extra.
